The women taking on new administrative duties relating to diversity are Suzette Meléndez at Syracuse University in New York, Lita Little Giddins at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Alicia Richardson at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and B. Afeni McNeely Cobham at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem.

Taking on new duties are Jennifer Hall-Jones at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, Shea Kidd Brown at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, Lissy Garrison at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Lisa VanDeWeert at Kalamazoo College in Michigan. Kimberly Davidson at George Mason University in Virginia, Amy Shoemaker at Miami University in Ohio, and DeNeia Thomas at Texas Southern University.

The new deans are Celine Parreñas Shimizu at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Amanda Thein at the University of Iowa, Danica Hays at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Debra J. Barksdale at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Molly Gribb at Bradley University in Illinois, and Deborah LaVine at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

The University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem has welcomed four new full-time faculty members for the 2020-21 academic year. Three of the new faculty members are women: Kara Anderson in cinema studies, Carrie Hart in English, and Phyllis Pancella in music.

Karen Kavanaugh was named to an endowed chair at Wayne State University. Mary Deane Sorcinelli will be a scholar in residence at Mount Holyoke College and Ida Bieler will join the faculty at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
