Thanks to a significant donation from Scandinavian businessman Henrik Nielsen, 42 Afghan women will receive full-tuition scholarships to attend the University of New Haven.
Adrienne Morgan has been named vice president the chief diversity officer at the University of Rochester in New York. Barbara J. Lawrence has been named vice president for diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging at the University of New Haven in Connecticut and Monica Smith was appointed associate vice president for equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging for the University of Wisconsin System.
Taking on new roles relating to diversity are Alisha Knight at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, Monique L. Akassi at West Liberty University in West Virginia, Sherrica Davis-Hunt at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Ophelie Rowe-Allen at the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
Dr. Niemi has been serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne. Earlier, she was professor and chair of the education department at the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
Dr. McGee is the founding and current dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut. Before joining the University of New Haven, Dr. McGee served on the faculty of Loyola University Chicago, the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and Albany Medical College.
The new deans are Ariela Sofer at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, Shaily Menon at the University of New Haven in Connecticut, Soyica Colbert at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and Usha Menon at the University of South Florida.
The new deans are Akane Zusho at Fordham University in New York, Michele Cruse at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Ophelie Rowe-Allen at the University of New Haven, Ryan O'Neil at the University of Wyoming, Dorothy E. Mosby at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and Allison Crume at the University of South Florida.
The new deans are Paula S. Bontempi at the University of Rhode Island, Ophelie Rowe-Allen at the University of New Haven in Connecticut, Kathryn Boor at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Shelley Johnson at Florida A&M University, Laurie Maffly-Kipp at Washington University in St. Louis and Heidi Henschel Pellett at Central Washington University.
Dr. Rosansky has served as founding president of the Hult International Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, dean of the University of New Haven College of Business, provost at the State University of New York's Levin Institute, and interim provost at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
