The new deans are Tanya M. Sudia at Baylor University in Texas, Carmen R. Carter at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, Wendy DuBose at Wallace Community College-Dothan in Alabama, Sara Robicheaux at the University of Montevallo in Alabama, and Nannette C. Turner at Mercer University in Georgia.
Dr. Shelby taught communication at the University of Alabama and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She also frequently traveled internationally to lecture at business schools in England, Finland, Germany, and China.
Dr. Johnston was president of the College of Coastal Georgia. Previously, she served as president of the University of Rio Grande in Ohio and held administrative and faculty positions with the University of Montevallo in Alabama, the University of Louisiana Monroe, and Mississippi State University.
The four women named to endowed professorships are A. Lin Goodwin at Boston College, Rosa Maria Stoops, at the University of Montevallo in Alabama, Kris Belden-Adams at the University of Memphis, and Olga Isengildina-Massa at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Dr. Bentley has been serving as interim provost since January. In 2018, she was appointed dean of the College of Education at the university. She had been serving as associate dean of programs for the School of Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Thew new women deans are Debra Satz, Michele H. Jackson, Kelly M. Smith, Sandra Miles, Vanessa Beasley, Courtney Bentley, Stephanie Hartwell, Camelia Moses Okpodu, and Dorothy L. Hodgson.

The women taking on new roles are Alison McFarlane, Tracy Payne-Rockco, Solveig Ovstebo, Karin Wulf, Susan Assouline, Nichelle Perkins, Tammi Dahle, Karen Baldwin and Chris Martin.
