The Gender Gap in Finance Faculty Positions at the Leading Business Schools in the United States
According to a new study by scholars at the University of Massachusetts and Yale University, women hold just 16 percent of faculty positions in finance at top U.S. business schools. Women faculty members were less likely to be tenured, are paid less, and tended to be more likely to hold positions at lower-ranked business schools.
Seven Women Scholars Who Have Been Selected to Receive Notable Awards
The honorees are Tayari Jones of Emory University in Atlanta, Jamilla Lyiscott at the University of Massachusetts, Susan Dresser at the University of Oklahoma, Bertha Hidalgo at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Sherry Farra at Wright State University in Ohio, Eranda Nikolla at Wayne State University in Detroit, and Camelia Maier at Texas Woman’s University.
