As director of the Multi-Modal Translational Imaging Lab at Stony Brook University, Dr. Abi-Dargham aims to advance the understanding of the neurobiology of severe mental illnesses, particularly the brain mechanisms of schizophrenia.
Dr. McConnell has served as interim president since June 2022. Earlier, she was provost and chief academic officer for three years. Before her arrival at Saint Joseph’s in 2019, Dr. McConnell held several leadership positions at Rockhurst University, a Jesuit institution in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to the lawsuit filed in a Philadelphia federal court, the university "creates an environment in which a male accused is so fundamentally denied due process as to be virtually assured of a finding of guilt."
