"When I first stepped onto campus as a part-time faculty member, I could not have imagined the journey I would eventually pursue," said Dr. Hayes. A Syracuse University professor of anthropology for over four decades, Dr. Pellow was a scholar of human relationships. Her work contributed significantly to contemporary approaches to space and place.

The professors selected for new positions are Jamie Taylor of Bryn Mawr College, Jill Sible of Virginia Tech, Bethany Neilson of Utah State University, Jessica Calarco of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ann Fisher-Wirth of the University of Mississippi, Miechelle McKelvey of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Maura Rhodes of Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.

Becky White, an associate professor in the division of infectious diseases at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, was recognized for her pioneering research and leadership in improving care and reducing health disparities among prisoners with HIV.
