Cheryl McConnell Is the First Woman President of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia
Dr. McConnell has served as interim president since June 2022. Earlier, she was provost and chief academic officer for three years. Before her arrival at Saint Joseph’s in 2019, Dr. McConnell held several leadership positions at Rockhurst University, a Jesuit institution in Kansas City, Missouri.
In Memoriam: Annie Neidel, 1977-2018
Dr. Neidel first joined the staff at Saint Louis University in 2003. In 2014, she became the coordinator for competitive fellowships and scholarships for the Honors Program. During the 2017-18 academic year, Dr. Neidel served as president of the university’s Women’s Commission.
The University of Missouri Enters Into a Research Partnership With The Women’s Foundation
The research project, aimed at improving the lives of women in the state of Missouri, will focus on five key areas: employment and income, education and childcare, social and economic indicators, health, and leadership and public engagement.
