Following four months of interim service, Dr. McEachern has been officially named provost of the University of Louisiana-Monroe. A faculty member for over three decades, she previously served as the first woman dean of the university's College of Business and Social Sciences.

Jenna Carpenter is the founding dean of the School of Engineering at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Dr. Carpenter will serve a one-year term as president-elect of the 12,000-member society beginning in June, followed by a full year as ASEE president.
The eight women faculty members who received awards are Prerna Dua, Vicky Kalogera, Anna C. Balazs, Allison Doupe, Brenda Major, Lindsey Aloia, Janice Naegele, and Ann Wolbert Burgess.
