DeRionne Pollard was named president of Nevada State University in 2021, making her the first Black woman to lead any institution within the Nevada System of Higher Education. Earlier in her career, she was president of Montgomery College in Maryland and of Las Poistas College in California.
Dr. Whalen has been serving as vice president of academic services at Las Positas College in Livermore, California. She also serves in a statewide role as vice president of the California Community Colleges Chief Instructional Officers Association. Dr. Whalen will become president of Foothill College on March 31.
Rodriguez has been serving as vice president of student services at Las Positas College in Livermore, California. Earlier, she was a counselor at San Bernardino Valley College.
