Janine Janosky assumed the presidency of Richard J. Daley College in August 2019. The R. R. Hawkins Award from the Association of American Publishers recognizes the year's best scholarly publication across all disciplines. This year, the honor was presented to Ieva Jusionyte of Brown University for her book, Exit Wounds: How America's Guns Fuel Violence Across the Border.
