Two Women Scholars to Receive the 2023 Sage-CASBS Award
Established in 2013, the honor is bestowed by Sage, the global academic publisher of books, journals, and library resources and the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the behavioral and social sciences that advances the understanding of pressing social issues.
Three Women Scholars Who Have Been Appointed to Endowed Chairs
Sharlene Newman has been named a Class of 1948 Herman B Wells Endowed Professor at Indiana University. Alondra Nelson will hold the Harold F. Linder Chair in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and Rebecca Kramer-Bottiglio has been named the John J. Lee Professor of Engineering at Yale University.

The appointees are Claire Wills at Princeton University, Carrie Scanga at Bowdoin College, Anita L. Tucker at Brandeis University, Joan S.
