Dr. Chapdelaine currently serves as president of Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. She has served in that role since 2015 and also is a tenured professor of psychology. She will become president of Connecticut College on July 1.
Dr. Burns was a member of the Duke University faculty for over three decades where she served as a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and director of the services effectiveness research program.
Katherine S. Conway-Turner began her tenure as the ninth president of Buffalo State College on August 3, 2014. Earlier she was provost and vice president for academic affairs at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, from July 2010 until July 2014.

The four women who are leaving or have left their posts are Elizabeth McCormack, a dean at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, Constance M. Carroll, the chancellor of the San Diego Community College District, Maria Harper-Marinick, the chancellor of the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona, and Olivia G. White, dean of students at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
Sally Lunt was a psychotherapist, an activist for women's rights, and a former social work professor at Boston University. She held a doctorate from Harvard University.
Dr. Chapdelaine is provost and vice president for academic affairs at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. She will become the 11th president of Hood College on July 1.
Katherine Conway-Turner is currently the provost at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. She is the former provost of the State University of New York at Geneseo and former dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Georgia Southern University.
