Karen Strier is the Irven DeVore Professor of Anthropology and the Vilas Research Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 1982, Professor Strier has been conducting research on the northern muriqui monkey in Brazil. It is one of the world’s most critically endangered primates.
