Dr. Drugovich retired from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, in 2022 after serving 14 years as its president. Prior to her time at Hartwick, Dr. Drugovich was the vice president for strategic communications and university enrollment and vice president of admission and financial aid at Ohio Wesleyan University. She will serve as interim president of Marietta College, effective July 1.
The women taking on new administrative duties relating to diversity are Suzette MeleÌndez at Syracuse University in New York, Lita Little Giddins at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Alicia Richardson at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and B. Afeni McNeely Cobham at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem.
Dr. Elder teaches courses on American politics. Her research explores the intersection of gender, race, and parenthood in shaping political attitudes as well as the reasons for women’s continued underrepresentation in elective office. She won the 2022 Victoria Schuck Award from the American Political Science Association for best book published on women and politics.
Lori Collins-Hall has been serving as senior vice president and chief operating officer at the college. Prior to joining Sterling, she was provost and vice president of academic affairs at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and earlier taught sociology at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.
