The appointments are Laura Mamo at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, Janette H. Ok at Fuller Theological Seminary in California, and Shubhra Pasayat at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Thompson's appointment marks a return to Union Theological Seminary, where she previously taught for three years. Most recently, she was the Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair of Black Homiletics & Liturgics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
Sara Young Jackson has held numerous leadership roles at Pepperdine over the past 40 years. Most recently, Jackson has served as vice chancellor, a role she has held since 2004. In this role, she promotes and advances the progress of the university through major-gift fundraising.
Currently, Dr. Koverola serves as the inaugural provost and senior adviser at the African Leadership University in Mauritius, Africa. In June she will become president of both the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.
