The women selected for new endowed professorships are Pamela Keel at Florida State University, Kish Parella at Washington and Lee University in Virginia, Sharlene Smith at Florida Southern College, and Gretchen Henderson at Rhodes College in Tennessee.
The faculty members who have been assigned new duties are Jenny Thigpen at Washington State University, Shameka Shelby at Florida Southern College, Gabriela Weaver at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Stephanie Witt at Boise State University in Idaho, and Kendra Hall-Kenyon at Brigham Young University in Utah.
"It has been an honor and great blessing to serve as president of what I consider to be the finest small college in the nation," said Dr. Anne Kerr, who will retire from her presidency at the end of this academic year.
Patricia Diaz has been appointed to the Sunstar Robert J. Genco Endowed Chair at the University at Buffalo. Mary McCourt is the inaugural holder of the Michael J., ‘60 and Aimee Rusinko Kakos Endowed Chair of Chemistry at Niagara University in New York and Laly Joseph was named to the Dr. Keith R. Berend '92 Endowed Chair in Nursing at Florida Southern College.
The new nursing school deans are Laly Joseph at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Tesa Keeling at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, Kristi Stinson at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and Allison Webel at the University of Washington.
The four women appointed to endowed positions in higher education are Ellen Perry at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, Martha Feldman at the University of Chicago, Suzanne Shanahan at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, and Linda Comer at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.
