The Flathead Valley Community College board of trustees has selected Deborah Kish Stephan as the college's next president. However, the appointment has drawn concerns from faculty, who claim the board was not receptive to faculty feedback during the hiring process.
Sheila Gestring currently serves as vice president of finance and chief financial officer at the University of South Dakota. She joined the finance staff at the university in 2006 and was named chief financial officer in 2010. She recently led a successful $250 million fundraising campaign.
