Since 2017, Dr. Howsare Boyens has been serving as provost at Des Moines Area Community College, Urban Campus in Des Moines. She began her tenure at Des Moines Area Community College in 2003 as a counselor.

The four chosen to serve as deans are Saonee Sarker at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Anne Power at Des Moines Area Community College in Iowa, Claire Stewart at the University of Illinois, and Kathleen Rudasill at Virginia Commonwealth University.
