Michele Schiele, LaTonya Branham, Kathryn Griffo, April Kauli, Kim Harris, and Atia Garrett-Washington are taking on new administrative duties at six universities across the country.
Taking on new assignments are Lorena N. Lacersa at the University of Georgia, Sara D. Nelson at Iowa State University, Hongmei Li-Byarlay at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, Stacy Gee Hollins at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, and Jessica Gurevitch at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The new deans are Rosario Ceballo at Georgetown University, Venetria K. Patton at the University of Illinois, Andrea Goodwin at the University of Maryland, Sharon Subreenduth at Georgia Southern University, Michelle Corley at Central State University in Ohio, Emmeline de Pillis at the University of La Verne in California, Toneyce S. Randolph at Clinton College in South Carolina, and Linda R. Edwards at the University of Florida -Jacksonville.
WIlma Mishoe, president of Delaware State University, and Lucille H. Mauge, who until recently was interim president of Calrk Atlanta University, will retire at the end of 2019. Cynthia Jackson-Hammond, president of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, will retire at the end of the current academic year.
Dr. Bell became president of the university on July 1, 2012. From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Bell was provost and vice president for academic affairs at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. In retirement, she plans to write a book on her journey from the cotton fields of Alabama to the presidency of a state university.
Colette Pierce Burnette served on the staff at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, from 1999 to 2012 in such roles as vice president for administration, chief financial officer, vice president for information technology, and chief information officer.
