Beverly Daniel Tatum, president of Spelman College is the only woman among this year’s four winners. She is the first college or university president in the state of Georgia and the first president of a historically Black college or university to win the award.

Susan King Named to Lead Journalism School at Chapel Hill
King will also be named the John Thomas Kerr Distinguished Professor at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
