Two Women Join the Faculty of the Brown University School of Engineering
Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, has announced the hiring of six new faculty to its School of Engineering. The new hires bring the total number of faculty members at the engineering school to 49. Two of the six new hires are women: Kareen Kreutziger and Anita Shuka.
Brown University to Offer $4,000 Annually to Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students for Child Care
The plan will cover child care expenses on weekdays for children who are under the age of 6. Benefits will not be available for households with incomes above $100,000. Brown has committed $350,000 for the program for the 2013-14 academic year. The pilot project will be reevaluated after the first year.
