Dr. Jane Wood currently serves as vice president for academic affairs and dean of Mount Marty College, a Benedictine liberal arts educational institution in Yankton, South Dakota. She will become the tenth president of Bluffton University on July 1.
From 1996 to 2006, Dr. Snyder was president of Bluffton University in Ohio. Earlier, she served for 12 years as vice president and academic dean at Eastern Mennonite University. Dr. Snyder is expected to serve as interim president for the fall 2016 semester only.
The honorees are Ellen Ernst Kossek, a professor of management at Purdue University; Virginia Moxley, dean and professor emerita at Kansas State University, and Julie DeGraw, dean of students at Bluffton University in Ohio.
Brid Grant, Ann Carruth, Julie DeGraw, Elizabeth Cada, Susan Stapleton, Laurie Achenbach, Jennifer Iacino, and Kim Wilson are all named to dean positions.
