Dr. Bellefeuille has served as interim president of the university since June 1, 2021. She is the first female to serve in the university’s highest leadership role. Dr. Bellefeuille has served at Bethel University since 2012, spending almost nine years as vice president for academic services.
Dr. Stacy Young currently serves as dean of the School of Business and School of Advanced Technology at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac. She joined the staff at the college in 2005 and was named dean in 2013.
The award-winning book is the first in a series that follows the story of a young Black girl named Winnie, whose relationship with the God she calls Papa empowers her to live with remarkable love, curiosity, and bravery.
The new deans are Laurie Hillson at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts, Julie Finnern at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Amanda Nicholson at Syracuse University in New York, Stephanie McGowan at Felican University in Lodi, New Jersey, and Donna Williams at Alcorn State University in Mississippi.
The women in new teaching roles are Jasmine Johnson at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, Tara Tietjen-Smith at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Elizabeth Calhoun at the University of Arizona, and Christena Cleveland at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
