Dr. McCain joins Blackburn College - one of only 10 federally recognized work colleges in the United States - after nearly 20 years at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. There she served as associate vice president for academic affairs and professor of chemistry.
Dr. Hass has been president of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, since 2017. Prior to that role, Dr. Hass was president of Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Earlier, she spent more than 16 years as a member of the faculty and administration at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, rising to the rank of provost.
Since 2009, Dr. Hass has been serving as president of Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She also serves as chair of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. She will become the first woman president in the 168-year history of Rhodes College on July 1.
