A professor at the University of Arkansas for over 40 years, Dr. Talburt was a scholar of English literature, particularly mystery and detective fiction. She was also a leader on campus, serving in several high-ranking administrative roles throughout her tenure.

Taking on new positions or duties are Zeynep Tufekci at Princeton University, Viviana Gradinaru at the California Institute of Technology, Carmen Lanos Williams at Arkansas State University, Lynne Carpenter-Boggs at Washington State University, Stephanie Harris at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, and Angela M. Eikenberry at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Taking on new roles as deans are Eun-Ok Im at the University of Texas at Austin, Andrea Tapia at Pennsylvania State University, Cindy Juntunen at California State University, Monterrey Bay, Nikesha Nesbitt at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and Molly Land at the University of Connecticut.

The College of Education and Behavioral Science at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro has announced the appointment of four new department chairs. All four appointments went to women: Asher Pimpleton-Gray, Amanda Wheeler-Gryffin, Nicole Covey, and Annette Hux.

Dr. Armstrong, who holds three degrees in neuropsychology, currently serves as the vice chancellor for student, equity, and community affairs at Arkansas State University Three Rivers. Earlier, she was vice president of student affairs at the College of Ouachitas in Malvern, Arkansas.

Mollie Rose Molnar was a former professor and chair of the department of music at what is now Missouri State University in Springfield. Both of her parents serve in the Arkansas House of Represenatives
