A longtime leader in higher education, Dr. Sias served as president of Kentucky State University from 2004 to 2014. In 2023, she was named interim president of Texas Southern University.
Asha Anumolu was appointed dean of nursing and allied healthcare at Florence-Darlington Technical College in South Carolina. Charla Miertschin is the new dean of the College of Science and Engineering at Abilene Christian University in Texas and Katie Kraushaar was named dean of library and information services at Quincy University in Illinois.
For the past three years, Allison Garrett has served as executive vice president at Abilene Christian University in Texas. She will become the 17th president of Emporia State University in January.
