Yolanda Page Selected as the Eighth President of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Since last fall, Dr. Page has been serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Savannah State University in Georgia. Earlier, she was a professor of English and vice president in the Division of Academic Affairs at Dillard University in New Orleans. Previously, Dr. Page served as dean of arts and sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Lauren B. Schellenberger Appointed President of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri
Dr. Schellenberger began her career at the college as an assistant professor of biology. Administratively, Dr. Schellenberger has served the college in executive leadership roles since 2018, most recently as provost. She is an expert in crop science, botany, and plant pathology.
Kathleen Poorman Dougherty Selected as the Next Provost at Marietta College in Ohio
Dr. Dougherty was the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Alma College in Michigan from 2018 to 2022 and has been on sabbatical this past year. Earlier, she served as the inaugural dean for the School of Humanities and subsequently led the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas, Names Amy Bosley as Its Next President
Dr. Bosley has been serving as vice president for institutional planning and development, and as chief of staff at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. Earlier, Dr. Bosley served as vice president of organizational development and human resources at the college. She has also taught communication courses at the graduate level at the University of Central Florida.
Kimberly Rogers Appointed the Fifteenth President of Contra Costa College in California
Before being named acting president of the college in 2022, Dr. Rogers was vice president for instruction. Earlier in her career, she held academic appointments at the University at Buffalo of the State University of New York System, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and the Université de Haute-Alsace in France.
Torie Jackson Appointed President of West Virginia University at Parkersburg
Before being named interim president in 2022, Dr. Jackson served in various roles at West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Her previous roles included chief operating officer, executive vice president for institutional advancement, president of the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Foundation and associate professor of communication.
Berkeley’s Susan Marqusee to Lead the Biological Sciences Directorate at the National Science Foundation
Dr. Marqusee, who has been at Berkeley since 1992, will begin her appointment on June 30, with plans to maintain her Berkeley lab while at the National Science Foundation under the agency’s Independent Research/Development program, which allows employees to remain actively involved with their professional research while there.
Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, Names Stacee McIff as Its New President
McIff has served as interim president since July 2022. Earlier, she was vice president of technical education and workforce engagement for two years after serving for a time as associate provost and as business department chair for eight years.
Women Named Provosts at Two Highly Selective Liberal Arts Colleges in Pennsylvania
Tomoko Sakomura will serve as the next provost and dean of the faculty at Swarthmore College and Renée Ann Cramer has been named provost and dean at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Both women will begin their new duties on July 1.
Nerita Hughes Will Be the Next President of Bay de Noc Community College in Michigan
Dr. Hughes has been serving as the interim associate vice president of academic affairs and workforce innovation and dean of the School of Business, Careers, Education, and Workforce Innovation at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She will begin her term as president on July 10.
Elizabeth “Betsy” R. Cantwell Appointed President of Utah State University
Dr. Cantwell is currently senior vice president for research & innovation at the University of Arizona. Earlier, she was a professor of aerospace engineering at Arizona State University and vice president for research development and CEO of the Arizona State University Research Enterprise.
Aysegul Timur Will Be the First Woman President of Florida Gulf Coast University
Aysegul Timur currently serves as vice president and vice provost for strategy and program innovation at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Originally from Türkiye, Dr. Timur came to the United States 25 years ago, learned English, and, within the next four years, earned a doctorate from the University of South Florida.

Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt Will Be the Thirteenth President of Jarvis Christian University in Hawkins, Texas
Since August 2012, Dr. Lee-Pruiit has served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the university. Previously, she served at Mississippi Valley State University as dean of University College and was a tenured professor in the department of social work.
Kristie Fisher to Serve as the Sixth President of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Currently the president of Iowa Valley Community College in Marshalltown, Dr. Fisher has served in that role since 2019. She returns to Kirkwood after having served two previous stints at the college. She will begin her ne duties this coming fall.
The University of Maine at Augusta Chooses Jenifer Cushman as Its Next President
Since 2016, Dr. Cushman has been serving as the chancellor of Pennsylvania State University-Beaver in Monaca. Before that, she was campus dean at Ohio University at Zanesville. Earlier. Dr. Cushman spent seven years as the dean of international education at Juniata College in Huntingdon Pennsylvania.
Lina Bernaola to Become the First Latina President of the Entomology Society of America
A native of Lima, Peru, Dr. Bernaola’s research focuses on pests that prey on rice crops in Texas. Broadly, her research seeks to identify and develop sustainable and cost-effective management programs for insect pests of rice.
Janet Schrunk Ericksen Is the New Chancellor of the University of Minnesota Morris
A scholar of medieval literature, Dr. Ericksen began her career at the university in 1998 as an assistant professor of English. Since then she has held a variety of administrative roles, including vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean, director of the Honors Program, chair of the Division of the Humanities, and interim chair of the Division of the Social Sciences.

Martha Garcia Will Be the Next President of Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California
When she takes office on July 1, Dr. Garcia will be the college’s tenth president, the first woman to lead the college in 50 years, and the first person of color to lead the college. Dr. Garcia is currently president of College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, a post she has held since August 2021.

Frierson was selected to be the next provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Southern Maine and Vini Nathan has been named as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Auburn University in Alabama.
Ruth Ray Jackson Selected to Lead Langston University in Oklahoma
Dr. Jackson has been with Langston University since 2014 and currently serves as the vice president for academic affairs. She has held other leadership positions at the university including associate vice president for student success and dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences.
Susan Borrego Named Interim President of California State University, Stanislaus
Dr. Boreggo currently is a consultant project director and special assistant to the president for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. She served as chancellor at the University of Michigan-Flint, from 2014 to 2019.
Radha Pyati Will Be the Next Chancellor of Pennsylvania State University-Berks
Since 2018, Dr. Pyati has been serving as the dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Prior to her role at West Chester, Dr. Pyati worked at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Tammy K. Evetovich Is the New Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin–Platteville
Dr. Evetovich has served in the role on an interim basis since June 2022. She served as the provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville beginning in May 2020. Earlier, she was on the faculty at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
Kathleen Linaker Will Be the Next President of Riverland Community College in Austin, Minnesota
Dr. Linaker was vice president of academics at Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from 2018 to 2022. Previously, she served as assistant vice president of academics and dean of the School of STEM, Health, and Natural Sciences at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York, from 2016 to 2018.
A Change in Leadership at Savannah State University in Georgia
Kimberly Ballard-Washington has resigned as president of Savannah State University in Georgia for “personal reasons.” The University System of Georgia named Cynthia Robinson Alexander as interim president of Savannah State University. She has been serving as associate vice chancellor for finance at the University System of Georgia. She joined the university system in 2009.
Chatham University in Pittsburgh Names Rhonda Phillips as Its Twentieth President
Dr. Phillips has been serving as dean of the Honors College at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Earlier, she was associate dean for the Honors College, at Arizona State University, where she also served as professor and director of the School of Community Resources and Development.
Joan Saab Selected as the Next Provost at the University of Richmond in Virginia
Dr. Saab currently serves as Susan B. Anthony Professor of Art History and executive vice provost of academic affairs at the University of Rochester in New York. Her areas of teaching and research include 19th- and 20th-century American visual cultural studies, American cultural history, public culture and community studies, and sensory history.

Christy L. Brown Will Be the Next President of Alverno College in Milwaukee
Since 2012, Brown has served as chief executive officer for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. Prior to leading the Girl Scouts, Brown served as vice chancellor for finance and administrative affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2007 to 2012. Earlier, she was executive vice president and general counsel at Milwaukee Area Technical College from 2002 to 2007.
Kristen Raney Will Be the First Woman President of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
Dr. Raney has been serving as vice chancellor for academic affairs at Eastern Iowa Community College in Davenport. Earlier, she held administrative posts at St. Paul Community College in Minnesota and Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
