Jennifer Orlikoff Is the New Leader of Potomac State College of West Virginia University
Dr. Orlikoff was serving as an associate professor of French and director of the Center for Women and Gender Studies at West Virginia University’s flagship campus in Morgantown. She joined the faculty at the university in 2008.
A Milestone Appointment at Christ’s College of the University of Cambridge
Jane Stapleton was named the 38th master of Christ’s College of Cambridge University. She is the first woman to lead Christ’s College since its founding in 1505. She is the former Ernest E. Smith Professor of Law at the University of Texas at Austin.
University of South Carolina Upstate Names an Interim Chancellor
For the past year, Mary Anne Fitzpatrick has been serving as vice president for planning for the University of South Carolina System. Previously, she was dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina.
JoAnne Epps Named Provost at Temple University in Philadelphia
Professor Epps joined the Temple faculty in 1985. She was named associate dean of academic affairs at the law school in 1989. She was promoted to full professor in 1994. Since 2008, she has served as dean of the university’s Beasley School of Law.
Beverly Davenport to Lead the University of Cincinnati
Since 2013, Dr. Beverly Davenport has served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the university. Earlier, she was vice provost for faculty affairs at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Joy Connolly has been a professor of classics at New York University. She also has been serving as dean for the humanities. Professor Connolly is an expert on Roman culture and politics.
Scripps College in Claremont, California, Names Larissa Z. Tiedens as Its Ninth President
Dr. Tiedens is a social psychologist who has been serving as senior associate dean of academic affairs in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. She also held the faculty post as the Jonathan B. Lovelace Professor of Organizational Behavior.
Joyce Loveday to Lead Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, Washington
Dr. Loveday has been on the staff at Clover Park Technical College since 2002. Most recently, she served as vice president for student learning. Before coming to Clover Park Technical College, Dr. Lovday was a dean at ITT Technical Institute.
The New President of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
Monica J. Posey has served as interim president for the past eight months. Previously, she was provost and academic vice president. According to the college, Dr. Posey is the first African American woman president of a major educational institution in the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

Coach Summitt had more wins as a college basketball coach than anyone on the planet, male or female. She achieved a remarkable record of 1,098 wins against 208 losses as head of the women’s basketball program at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for 38 years.
Linda Schott Appointed President of Southern Oregon University
Dr. Schott has been serving as president of the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She is the former dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Fort Lewis College in Colorado.

Birmingham-Southern College Names Linda Flaherty-Goldsmith as Its Fifteenth President
Since 2013, Flaherty-Goldsmith has worked as a pro bono consultant with Human Rights First, a non-profit, nonpartisan human rights organization. Earlier she was chief of staff for the president of Birmingham-Southern College.
Lillian Schumacher Is the First Woman President of Tiffin University in Ohio
Dr. Schumacher has been serving as interim president of the university since January of this year. She had been serving as vice president for academic affairs at Tiffin and had also held the position of dean of the School of Business at the university.
Simmons College Extends the Contract of President Helen G. Drinan
In 2008, Helen Drinan was named the eighth president of Simmons College in Boston. With this new contract extension awarded by the board of trustees, Drinan will remain as president of the college through at least June 2019.

Since 2013, Dr. Claire E. Sterk has been serving as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Emory. A native of The Netherlands, Dr. Sterk joined the faculty at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory in 1995.
Nancy Zimpher Announces She Will Step Down as Chancellor of the State University of New York
Nancy L. Zimpher, chancellor of the State University of New York System, announced that she will step down at the end of the 2016-17 academic year. She has been chancellor of the 64-campus system for the past seven years.
Louise Pagotto to Lead Kapiolani Community College in Hawaii
For the past 16 years, Dr. Pagatto has served as vice chancellor for academic affairs at the college. She joined the faculty at the college in 1989 and has served in many faculty and administrative posts. She will serve as interim chancellor of the community college while a national search for a new chancellor is completed.
California State University, Stanislaus Names Ellen Junn as Its Next President
When Dr. Junn takes office on June 30, there will be 11 women serving as presidents at CalState’s 23 campuses, the most in the system’s history. The last five scholars who have been named president of one of CalState’s campuses have all been women.

Dr. Thompson-Sellers is a professor of business information systems at Georgia State University in Atlanta and has been serving as senior associate dean at the university. Earlier she taught at Georgia Perimeter College in Decatur and at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.

Beverly J. Warren, the 12th president of Kent State University in Ohio, Margaret L. Drugovich, the 10th president of Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and Susan J. Hunter, the first woman president of the flagship campus of the University of Maine, have all had their contracts extended.
Jo Ann Rooney Will Be the First Woman President of Loyola University of Chicago
Dr. Rooney has served as senior adviser to the Secretary of Defense. Earlier in her career, Dr. Rooney was president of Spaulding University in Louisville, Kentucky, and Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts.

Eileen Mihm Schwalbach has been president of the university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, since 2009 and has served on the full-time faculty there since 1997. The university’s undergraduate programs are open only to women and currently enroll about 860 students.
College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Chooses Its Next Leader
Dr. Ann Rondeau currently serves as a consultant and partner with the IBM Watson Group. She has served as a vice admiral in the United States Navy and as president of National Defense University in Washington, D.C. When she takes office on July 1, she will be the first woman to lead the College of DuPage.
Maricopa Community College District Names Its New Chancellor
Maria Harper-Marnick, a native of the Dominican Republic, will lead the community college system in Arizona that includes 10 campuses and serves more than 265,000 students annually. Since 2010, she had been serving as executive vice president and provost for the community college system.
Michelle Anderson Named President of Brooklyn College in New York
President Anderson has been serving as a professor and dean of the City University of New York School of Law. She has held that post since 2006. Earlier, she taught at the Villanova University School of Law in Pennsylvania.

For the past 11 years, Roloff has served as president and chief executive officer of the YWCA of Minneapolis. Earlier in her career, she served in executive posts at American Express Financial Advisors, Pillsbury, and Cargill. She is a former chair of the board of trustees of St. Catherine University.
