Ruth Simmons, who served as the 18th president of Brown University, the Ivy League educational institution in Providence, Rhode Island, from 2001 to 2012, has been named the interim president of Prairie View A&M University in Texas.
Kelly M. Quintanilla Selected to Lead Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
Dr. Quintanilla has served as interim president since January 2017. Since joining the faculty in 1994, she has served as a professor of communication, dean of the College of Liberal Arts, chair of the department of communication and theatre, and provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Ira Kincade Blake Selected as the Next President of the University of Houston-Clear Lake

Drew Faust Will Step Down as President of Harvard University Next June

Rebecca Wyke Appointed President of the University of Maine at Augusta
Since 2008, Dr. Wyke has been serving as vice chancellor for finance and administration for the University of Maine System. She had served as interim president of the Augusta campus for six months in 2015. Dr. Wyke is the former commissioner of the Department of Administration and Finance for the state of Maine.

Julia Ross Named Dean of Engineering at Virginia Tech
Dr. Ross has been serving as dean of engineering and information technology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She joined the faculty there in 1995. Dr. Ross’ research focuses on the role of fluid dynamics in infection formation in the human cardiovascular system.
Sian Leah Beilock Named the Eighth President of Barnard College in New York City
Dr. Beilock has been serving as executive vice provost at the University of Chicago. She also was the Stella W. Rowley Professor in the department of psychology. Professor Beilock joined the faculty at the University of Chicago in 2005. Earlier she taught at Miami University.
