Marisa Kelly Appointed the Eleventh President of Suffolk University in Boston
Dr. Kelly has been serving as interim president for the past 20 months. In 2014, she was named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the university. Earlier, she was provost and vice president for educational affairs at Ithaca College in New York.

Juliette Bell to Step Down From Presidency of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Dr. Bell became president of the university on July 1, 2012. From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Bell was provost and vice president for academic affairs at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. In retirement, she plans to write a book on her journey from the cotton fields of Alabama to the presidency of a state university.

Adela de la Torre Will Be the First Woman President of San Diego State University
Currently, Dr. De la Torre serves as vice chancellor for student affairs and campus diversity at the University of California, Davis. Earlier in her career, Dr. De la Torre was director of the Mexican American Studies and Research Center at the University of Arizona. She will begin her new job this coming June.
Karen Abrams Named the Next Dean of Duke Law School
Professor Abrams, who will become dean of Duke Law School on July 1, is the vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of law at the University of Virginia. She joined the faculty there in 2005. From 2002, to 2005, Professor Abrams taught at the New York University School of Law.
Bentley University in Massachusetts Selects Alison Davis-Blake to Be Its Next Leader
Dr. Davis-Blake is the former dean of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and the former dean of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She will become president of Bentley University on July 1.
Jane Hulon Will Be the Eighth President of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi
Dr. Hulon currently serves as vice president of the Wesson campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Over the past decade, she has served as vice president of instructional services, academic dean of instruction, and director of planning and research. She will become president on July 1.

Since 2011, Dr. Barbara Jean Morris has served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Fort Lewis College in Durnago, Colorado. Earlier, she worked for 16 years at the College of the Redlands in California, where she served as professor of government and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Lorraine Sterritt to Be the First Woman President of Saint Michael’s College in Vermont
Since June 2014, Dr. Sterritt has served as president of Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Earlier, she served as dean for administration and as a professor of French literature at Harvard College. A native of Ireland, Dr. Sterritt holds a Ph.D. in French from Princeton University.

Ruth V. Watkins Selected as the Next President of the University of Utah
When she takes office this spring, Dr. Watkins will be the first woman to serve as the permanent president of the University of Utah in its 168-year history. Since 2013, Dr. Watkins has served as the senior vice president for academic affairs at the university after a 20-year career at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Alyson A. Gill has been serving as associate provost for instructional innovation at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She also was an associate professor of art history at the university. Earlier, she served for 15 years on the faculty at Arkansas State University.

For the past 17 years, Screws has served as dean of student affairs for Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. Earlier in her career, she was dean of student services at Sparks Technical College, which later merged with Wallace Community College.
The New Chair of the American Art Therapy Association Is Christianne Strang
Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, the American Art Therapy Association has about 5,000 members including professional art therapists, students, educational institutions, and related mental health professionals. Dr. Strang is a research instructor in psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Katie Leonard Selected to Be the Next President of Johnson College in Scranton, Pennsylvania
Leonard joined the staff at the college in 2007 as coordinator of grants and the annual fund. She moved up the ranks to senior vice president of college advancement. In this role she raised $5 million to fund the college’s new Health Science Technology Center. Currently, she serves as executive vice president at the college.
