Chaudron Gille Is the New Provost at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega
Dr. Gille has served as interim provost since November 2018. Before joining the staff at the University of North Georgia, Dr. Gille was a professor of French at Gainesville State College, which merged with the University of North Georgia in 2012.
Cynthia Lightfoot Is Now Serving as Chancellor of Pennsylvania State University Brandywine
Dr. Lightfoot first joined the Pennsylvania State University Brandywine community in 1998 as an associate professor of human development and family studies. She was named director of academic affairs at the branch campus of Penn State in July 2014.
Deena Gonzalez Named Provost and Senior Vice President at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington
Since 2001, Dr. Gonzalez has held various academic and administrative roles at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. These included chair of the department of Chicana/o studies, director of faculty development, and associate provost of faculty affairs.
Carol Johnson-Dean Will Be the New Leader of LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis
Dr. Johnson-Dean has been serving as executive director of the Memphis chapter of New Leaders, a nonprofit organization that develops educators’ leadership skills. Earlier, she led the public school systems in Memphis, Boston, and Minneapolis.
The New Leader of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas
From 2012 to 2017, Dr. Elizabeth Mauch was dean of the College of Education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She also served as a professor of mathematics at the university. After leaving Bloomsburg University, Dr. Mauch served as a Fulbright Scholar at the Lodz University of Technology in Poland.

Dr. Eanes has been serving as vice president for the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Fullerton. She has been on the staff at CalState, Fullerton for the past seven years.
Beth Kegley Elected President of the American Society of Animal Science
Dr. Kegley serves as a professor in the department of animal science at the University of Arkansas. Her research focuses on the impact of nutrition on immune response, disease resistance, and performance of cattle.
Wendy Rheault Is the New President of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
Wendy Rheault has served on the faculty at the university for 38 years. She has been interim president since January. From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Rheault served as provost. From 2003 to 2014, she was dean of the College of Health Professions.
Bobbi Knight Chosen to Lead Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama
Knight has served on the college’s board of trustees and is the former vice president of the Birmingham division of Alabama Power. She has been serving as chair of the Birmingham Airport Authority. She will begin her duties as interim president on September 1.
Peggy Valentine Appointed to Lead Fayetteville State University in North Carolina
Dr. Valentine has been serving as dean of the School of Health Sciences at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. Her research focuses on homeless and minority health issues. Dr. Valentine is the founding editor-in-chief for the Journal of Best Practices in Health Professions Diversity.
Patricia Hsieh Selected as the Next President of Hartnell College in Salinas, California
Dr. Hsieh has spent the last 14 years as president of San Diego Miramar College, one of three institutions that make up the San Diego Community College District. Earlier in her career, she held executive posts at Sacramento City College, San Bernardino Valley College and Moorpark College, all in California.
Sandra Fowler-Hill Is the New Leader of Clark College in Vancouver, Washington
Sandra Fowler-Hill has been named interim president of Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. Last year, Dr. Fowler-Hill retired as president of the Rock Creek campus of Portland Community College in Oregon. Earlier in her career, Dr. Fowler-Hill served for 19 years in various leadership roles at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington.
Cheryl Evans Jones Appointed Acting President of Paine College in Augusta, Georgia
Dr. Jones first joined the Paine College faculty in 1993 as an assistant professor of psychology. She later went on to become an associate professor and earned tenure. In 2014, she served as Paine’s acting provost and vice president for academic affairs.
The First Woman to Lead George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia
Anne Holton served as Virginia Secretary of Education from 2014 to 2016. She has been a visiting professor in both the Schar School of Policy and Government and the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University since May 2017. Holton is the wife and the daughter of former governors of Virginia.

Wanda Brown, the director of library services at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina, is the new president of the American Library Association. Founded in 1853, the ALA is the largest library association in the world with more than 57,000 members.

President Ward has had an extensive career in management consulting and strategic planning. She holds a master of fine arts degree in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MBA from Harvard University.
President Emerita Nancy Oliver Gray Returns to Lead Hollins University as Interim President
Gray served as the 11th president of Hollins University for 12 years before her retirement in 2017. Now she will return after her successor, Pareena Lawrence, announced that she was stepping down after only two years “to pursue her long-standing interest in international education and development.”
Suzanne Walsh Will Be the Next President of Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina
Currently, Walsh serves as the founder and manager of Discerning SEWlutions, a consulting firm in Seattle. Earlier in her career she held various leadership roles with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Lumina Foundation for Education, the Heinz Endowments, and Cuyahoga Community College.

Most recently Cates served as a strategic advisor to both public and private universities and systems, in addition to educational companies. Earlier in her career she served as president of executive development at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Sandra Barnes to Lead the Natchez Campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi
Dr. Barnes currently serves as the chair and professor in the department of chemistry and physics at Alcorn State University in Mississippi. She has also served in other capacities at Alcorn State including research assistant professor for the Center for Biotechnology and Genomics.

Julie Fickas was appointed president and chief academic officer at the Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community College and Feleccia Moore-Davis was appointed president and chief academic officer at the Meramec campus.
Kathleen Harring Selected to Lead Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Since April 2017, Dr. Harring has served as provost of Muhlenberg College. Previously she held other roles at the college including vice president and dean of institutional effectiveness and planning, dean of institutional assessment and academic planning, and chair of the psychology department.
The First Woman President of the Tulsa Campus of Oklahoma State University
Dr. Pamela Fry has served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the Tulsa campus since 2016. She also serves as vice provost and associate vice president of undergraduate education at the flagship campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Earlier, Dr. Fry was dean of the university’s College of Education for six years.
Martha Ann Todd Selected to Take the Helm of Columbus Technical College in Georgia
Todd has had a career in education spanning 40 years. Recently, she served as deputy commissioner of adult and technical education for the Technical College System of Georgia. She took office as interim president on July 1 and will serve until a permanent president is appointed.
Josee Larochelle to Lead the State University of New York at Plattsburgh
Josee Larochelle was named officer-in-charge at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. The title is equivalent to interim president. Larochelle currently serves as vice president for administration and finance at the university. She has been at SUNY Plattsburgh since July 2017.
The First Woman to Lead the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island
Rear Adminral Shoshana Chatfield served as a helicopter pilot in the Western Pacific, Afghanistan, and the Arabian Gulf. From 2001 to 2004, Dr. Chatfield was an assistant professor of political science at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Most recently, she was commander of U.S. Naval Forces in the Mariana Islands in the northern Pacific Ocean.

Dr. Willis has been serving as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York. Earlier in her career, Dr. Willis was an assistant professor of history, faculty senate president, department chair, and dean of academic studies at Lee College in Baytown, Texas.

Currently, Dr. Fehr serves as provost of La Sierra University, a position she has held since 2015. Before coming to La Sierra, she served as vice president for academic administration at Burman University in Alberta, Canada.
Another Women’s College Is Considering the Transformation to Co-Education
Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is one of the oldest women’s colleges in the United States. The college announced recently that it is considering adding co-educational undergraduate programs as a way to expand enrollment. Now, there are just over 900 women enrolled in the undergraduate college.
Heidi Popham Selected as the New President of Georgia Northwestern Technical College
Dr. Popham has worked for Georgia Northwestern Technical College for the past 23 years. Originally, she was hired as the executive assistant to the president. From there, she went on to serve as director of institutional effectiveness, vice president of institutional effectiveness, and most recently, executive vice president.
