Dr. Falleti is an endowed professor in political science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her 2010 book Decentralization and Subnational Politics in Latin America was recently recognized by the American Political Science Association as a lasting achievement in federalism and intergovernmental relations scholarship.
As the 2026 recipient of the Vanderbilt University Literary Prize, Huffman's new poetry collection, Dilemma, will be published by Vanderbilt University Press in 2027. Huffman, an instructor at Warren Wilson College, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English and literary arts at the University of Denver.
Dr. Sandwell is an assistant professor of history at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Her award-winning book, National Liberation and the Political Life of Exile: Sex, Gender, and Nation in the Struggle Against Apartheid examines the role of women in South Africa's liberation movements, particularly within the African National Congress during its years in exile.
The women who have recently received awards for their new books are Julia Elliott of the University of South Carolina, Min Kyung Lee of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, and Anne E. Marshall at Mississippi State University.

Dr. Mayeri's award-winning book, Marital Privilege: Marriage, Inequality, and the Transformation of American Law, examines how the privileged legal status of marriage survived decades of constitutional struggle and social change.
