Melissa Mazan and Amanda Durik are taking on interim dean appointments at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and the Northern Illinois University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, respectively. Jenn Snow is dean of the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education at the University of Montana.
The appointments are Erin Cleghorn at Meredith College, Corinne Webster at the University of Tennessee, Rachel Gordon at Northern Illinois University, LaShaunda Reese at Xavier University of Louisiana, Cyndi Beltran at Texas A&M University, Sarah Dundish at the University of California, Los Angeles, Tamara White at the University of Northern Colorado, and Diana Lasswell at Langston University.
The women selected for endowed positions in Yale's Faculty of Arts and Sciences are Gundula Kreuzer in music, Nancy Yousef in English, Marlene Daut in Black Studies and in French, and Leah Boustan and Xiaohong Chen in economics.
The six women promoted to associate professor and granted tenure in the College of Science at Clemson University in South Carolina are Sharon Bewick, Miriam Konkel, Lela Lackey, Xinyi Li, Emily E. Rosowski, and Anna Seekatz.
The five women who have joined the faculty of Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City are assistant professors Yaa Oparebea Ampofo, Alexandra Cooperstock, and Eleni Natsiopoulou as well as associate professors Naomi Lifschitz-Grant and Zoi Traga-Philippakos.

The new deans are Julie Akers at Washington State University, Leslie Rissler at the University of Montana, Rhonda L. Mingo at Presbyterian College in South Carolina, Leigh Giles-Brown at Lincoln Land Community College in Illinois, Jasmin Feimster at Pitt Community College in North Carolina, and Kayla Caron at Middlesex Community College in Massachusetts.
The appointments are Deana Warner at Southwest Minnesota State University, Jane Chadwick at Virginia Tech, Kizzy N. Lea at Livingstone College in North Carolina, Katreshia Louis-Verett at North Carolina A&T State University, Becky Hall Frenkel at Rice University in Texas, and Katelynn Potter at Mississippi State University.
The four women appointed to endowed professorships are Christina Baker in African American engagement, Zenaida Aguirre-Muñoz in cognitive and information sciences, Courtenay Monroe in political science, and Jinah Kim in global arts, media and writing studies.
The new women faculty are Sofia Elverdin in politics, Lauren Hughes in law, Jaime Roots in German, Soo Yon Ryu in business administration, and Carrie Stanton in law.
Erin M. Hawkins was promoted to associate professor in the School of Accountancy. Zhihong Ke, Sharon Sheridan, and Lori Tribble Trudell were all named associate professors in the department of management.
