
Dr. Cain was honored for her outstanding early-career research accomplishments. At the University of Michigan, she is working to develop novel analytical and computational tools to study neurochemical dynamics. Her research has focused on techniques related to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry platforms. She is the author of more than 20 journal articles and book chapters.
Dr. Cain received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and forensic science from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Washington.
