Jenna Burton Elected President of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Board of Regents

Jenna Burton, a veterinary oncologist with Colorado State University, has been elected president of the Board of Regents of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She will serve as president-elect for the next year, and as president the following year.

Upon completing her graduate education and veterinary residency, Dr. Burton served as a teaching clinician at Colorado State University’s James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital for three years. She went on to teach at the University of California, Davis, where she served as director of the Veterinary Center for Clinical Trials. In 2020, she returned to Colorado State University, where she currently serves as an associate professor of oncology in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences and oncology service chief at the Flint Animal Cancer Center.

Dr. Burton received her bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Maine, a master’s degree from Colorado State University, and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Ohio State University.
