Seven Women Named to Administrative Positions at Colleges and Universities

Patricia Ruiz has been appointed executive director of Student Health and Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. She comes to her new role from Montclair State University in New Jersey where she currently serves as director of the Student Health Center.

Dr. Ruiz is a graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut where she majored in nursing. She holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a doctor of nursing practice degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

China Jude has been named interim athletic director at Chadron State College in Nebraska. She currently serves as CEO and founder of Auggie Oliver, LLC, a consulting firm for strengthening organizational demographics. Prior to her current role, she was the inaugural vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

Dr. Jude is a graduate of Alabama State University where she majored in broadcast journalism. She holds a master’s degree in sports management and marketing from the United States Sports Academy and a doctorate in athletics administration from Northcentral University.

Renai Bodley has been named the inaugural chief advancement officer for WVFT Public Radio, which is owned by the Virginia Tech Foundation, an independent foundation overseen by leaders at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has been serving as president and general manager of KPCW Radio in Park City, Utah.

Bodley received her bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Virginia.

Xuxa Rodríguez has been named the Patsy R. and Raymond D. Nasher Curator for Contemporary Art for the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. Currently, she serves as the associate curator of contemporary art at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Dr. Rodríguez holds a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Lori McMahon has been named vice president for research at the University of Virginia. She has served as vice president of research at the Medical University of South Carolina for the past three years. She previously served as director of the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. McMahon received her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Southern Illinois University and her Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from Saint Louis University in Missouri.

Alyson Paul has been selected to serve as vice president of student engagement and success at the University of North Georgia after serving as interim vice president for the past year. She has been with the university system for two decades and previously served as dean of students.

Dr. Paul holds a doctorate in education leadership with a concentration in higher education from Valdosta State University in Georgia.

Jackie Davis has been promoted to vice president for advancement at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. She has been with the college since 2010 holding positions such as director of advancement and dean of admissions.

Davis is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University where she double-majored in biology and chemistry. She holds a master’s degree in speech communication from the University of South Dakota.

Caroline Attardo Genco Named the First Woman President of the University at Buffalo

Dr. Geneco comes to her new role from Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she has served as provost for the past four years. She is slated become the University at Buffalo's first woman president on August 10.
