Ivy Banks was appointed vice president for institutional diversity and inclusion at Xavier University in Cincinnati. She is the former associate vice provost for diversity and inclusion at the University of Arizona. Banks serves as vice chair of the Chief Diversity Officers Steering Committee of the Association of American Universities. She will begin her new duties at Xavier University in late January.
Banks holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Cleveland State University. She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University and a juris doctorate from the University of Akron in Ohio.
Patricia Bradley was named vice president for inclusion and institutional equity at Towson University in Maryland. Bradley has served as the interim vice president for inclusion and institutional equity since July 2021. She joined the staff at Towson University in 2018 as assistant vice president of equity and compliance. Earlier, she served as Title IX coordinator and was an adjunct faculty member at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina.
Bradley earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a juris doctorate from Howard Univerity in Washington, D.C. She holds a master of public administration degree from the University of North Carolina.
Christine Taylor is the new institutional equity officer, equal opportunity officer, and Title IX coordinator at the University of Oklahoma. She was institutional equity and compliance director at Wichita State University in Kansas.
Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iowa State University. She is a graduate of the Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana and earned a master of laws degree in dispute resolution from the University of Missouri.
