Denise Whisenhunt Appointed President of Grossmont College in California

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District in California has chosen Denise Whisenhunt as the next president of Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. She will take office on July 1.

Grossmont College enrolls nearly 17,000 students, according to the most recent statistics furnished by the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 59 percent of the student body.

Whisenhunt has been serving as vice president of student services at San Diego City College. She served as interim president of the college in 2016 and 2017. Whisenhunt has been on the staff at the college since 2001.

Whisenhunt is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where she majored in political science and English literature. She earned a juris doctorate from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
