New President Selected for Santa Barbara City College

Lori Gaskin has been chosen as the next superintendent/president of Santa Barbara City College in California. She will take office on July 1. Since 2009, she has served as president of West Valley College in Saratoga, California. Previously, she was vice president of academic affairs and student services and dean of instruction at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Dr. Gaskin has been involved in the California Community College System for the past 31 years. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geography from the University of California at Los Angeles and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Nevada at Reno.
