Bobbie Knight Is the New President of Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama

The board of trustees of Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, has appointed Bobbie Knight as the educational institution’s 15th president. She has been serving as interim president since August 2019.
Miles College enrolls 1,550 students, according to the latest data submitted to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 53 percent of the student body at the college.
Knight has served on the college’s board of trustees and is the former vice president of the Birmingham division of Alabama Power. She has is the former chair of the Birmingham Airport Authority. President Knight also served as chair of the board of managers of Birmingham Times Media Group.
Knight is a graduate of the University of Alabama. She earned a law degree a Birmingham Law School and is a graduate of the executive leadership program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
