Kellie R. Casey, director of advocacy at the University of Georgia School of Law, has been honored with a scholarship fund in her name. The law firm Epps, Holloway, DeLoach & Hoipkemier, LLC has established the new Kellie R. Casey Scholarship Fund to recognize Professor Casey’s contributions to the law school. Professor Casey has led the law school’s advocacy program to 25 national championships, more than 40 regional titles, and 15 state trophies. She also advises the school’s mock trial team.
Professor Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a juris doctorate both from the University of Georgia.
Karen Robinson, associate professor of nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, has received the 2019 American College of Nurse-Midwives Teaching Excellence Award. The national award honors a nurse-midwifery professor who has shown outstanding qualities for teaching, inspired students to excel, and promoted high standards of education.
Dr. Robinson holds a Ph.D. from Marquette University.
Margaret Viebrock, director of Chelan and Douglas County extension at Washington State University, will be honored with the 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the American Association of Family & Consumer Science at the organization’s annual conference this summer in St. Louis, Missouri.
The award is among the most prestigious honors in family and consumer science, recognizing professional achievement and sustained leadership.
