Emelyn dela Peña has been named associate provost for inclusion, community, and integrative learning. She previously served as associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. dela Peña is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego where she majored in ethnic studies. She holds a master’s degree in postsecondary educational leadership from San Diego State University and an educational doctorate from a joint program through the University of California, San Diego, San Diego State University, and California State University, San Marcos.
Rosalind Conerly has been named associate dean of students and director of the Black Community Services Center. She was the director of the Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs and an adjunct professor in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Conerly holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education both from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California.
Elvira Prieto has been promoted to associate dean of students and director of El Centro Chicano y Latino. She was assistant dean and associate director and had been serving as interim director since November 2018.
Prieto is a graduate of Stanford University where she majored in psychology. She holds a master of education degree in administration, planning, and social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
