Eight Women Who Have Been Appointed to New Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

Jamilla Deria has been named director of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She was program director of the Apollo Theater Foundation in New York.

Deria holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and a master’s degree from New York University.

Sana Amini has been named principal investigator/complaint resolution officer in the Title IX Office at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She previously worked as a contracts analyst in the Real Estate Office at the university.

Amini holds is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she double majored in American studies and Middle East studies. She holds a juris doctorate from the University of New Hampshire.

Georgina Dodge has been named vice president of diversity and inclusion at the University of Maryland. She has been the chief diversity officer and associate provost for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, since 2017.

Dr. Dodge is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of California, Irvine where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Melissa Jackson Holloway has been named general counsel at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. She currently serves as deputy general counsel at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Holloway is a graduate of Syracuse University in New York where she majored in business administration. She holds a master’s degree in political science from Binghamton University in New York and a juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

Claudia Paetsch has been named vice president for human resources at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a senior director and human resources business partner at Northwestern Mutual.

Paetsch holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Jordan Landes has been named curator of the Friends Historical Library at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She was a research librarian in the Senate House Library at the University of London.

Dr. Landes holds a bachelor’s degree from Haverford University in Pennsylvania, a master of library science degree and a master’s degree in history from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. from the School of Advanced Study at the University of London.

Beth Hall has been named director of the Indiana State Climate Office at Purdue University. She was director of the Midwestern Regional Climate Center at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Hall is a graduate of Indiana University where she majored in physical geography with an emphasis in meteorology. She holds a master’s degree in atmospheric physics and a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences both from the University of Nevada Reno.

Theodosia Cook has been named director of Campus Climate and Culture Initiative, a comprehensive set of actions aimed at creating a learning environment free from sexual harassment and the abuse of power, at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She currently serves as the director of institutional diversity and equity and has been a Dartmouth administrator since 2015.

Cook is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee where she majored in political science. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Columbia University.
