Three Women Appointed to Endowed Professorships at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Joy Castro has been named the Willa Cather Professor of English and ethnic studies. She has been a faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2007.
Dr. Castro holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in literature from Texas A&M University.
Katrina Jagodinsky has been named a Rosowski Associate Professor of History. She has been a faculty member at the university since 2012.
Dr. Jagodinsky holds a bachelor’s degree in history and English from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin,, and a master’s degree in American Indian studies and a Ph.D. in history both from the University of Arizona.
Debra Hope has been named the Aaron Douglas Professor of Psychology. She has been a faculty member at the university since 1990.
Dr. Hope holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University at Albany of the State University of New York System.
