A Trio of Women Appointed to Dean Positions at Universities

Ellen J. McKenzie was appointed dean of the Bloomberg School of Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Just last month, Dr. MacKenzie was named a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at the university.

Professor MacKenzie is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey. She holds a Ph.D. in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University.

Stephanie Pasley Henry was named acting dean of the College of Education at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. She has been serving as an educational consultant and formerly served on the faculty at Barry University in Miami.

Dr. Henry is a summa cum laude graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, where she majored in elementary education. She earned a master’s degree in exceptional student education and a doctorate in curriculum development and systemic change from Nova Southeastern University.

Lisa A Kloppenberg, dean of the Santa Clara University School of Law, had her contract extended for an additional five years. Dean Kloppenberg will now serve as dean of the law school at least through August 2023. Before coming to Santa Clara University in 2013, Dean Kloppenberg served for 12 years as dean of the University of Dayton School of Law in Ohio.

Dean Kloppenberg holds a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism and a law degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
