Columbia College President to Step Down in June

Elizabeth A. Dinndorf, the 18th president of Columbia College in South Carolina, has announced that she will step down at the end of the academic year. As reported in a recent WIAReport post, the college has seen a drop in enrollments and has decided to eliminate academic programs, reduce tuition to attract more students, and cut staff positions.

In announcing that she is stepping down on June 30, President Dinndorf said “Columbia College has been an important institution throughout its 162-year history and has a bright future. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as president and will always be a supporter of Columbia College.”

President Dinndorf has led the women’s college since 2011. Previously, she served as senior vice president and manager of student banking services at US Bank in St. Paul, Minnesota, and as a senior vice president for Wells Fargo in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

President Dinndorf is the former chair of the board of trustees of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Dinndorf went on to earn a law degree at the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
