The New President of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College

The new president of Cincinnati State, Monica J. PoseyThe board of trustees of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College has named Monica J. Posey as the educational institution’s president. According to the college, Dr. Posey is the first African American woman president of a major educational institution in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Cincinnati State Technical and Community College enrolls nearly 11,000 students. Women make up 55 percent of the student body.

Dr. Posey has served as interim president for the past eight months. Previously, she was provost and academic vice president. She joined the staff at the college in 1992. Earlier, she was assistant director of career development at the University of Cincinnati.

President Posey is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an educational doctorate from the University of Cincinnati.
