Five Women Retire From the Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences at Emory University

emory-logoThe College of Arts and Sciences at Emory University has announced the retirements of 13 faculty members. Five of the retiring faculty members are women.

Wendy Farley was a professor of religion. She is the author of four books including Gathering Those Driven Away: A Theory of Incarnation (Westminster John Knox Press, 2011). Dr. Farley earned a Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

hahn5Carole L. Hahn was the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Educational Studies. She is the author of Becoming Political: Comparative Perspectives on Citizenship Education (State University of New York Press, 1998). Professor Hahn earned an educational doctorate from Indiana University.

faculty-hartle-annAnn Hartle was a professor of philosophy. She is the author of Michel de Montaigne: Accidental Philosopher (Cambridge University Press, 2003). Professor of Hartle earned a Ph.D. at the City University of New York.

who1Wan-Li Ho has retired as a senior lecturer in the department of Russian and East Asian languages and culture. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Chinese literature at Tunghai University in Taiwan and received a master of divinity degree at Taiwan Theological College. Dr. Ho earned a Ph.D. in religion at Temple University. She is the author of Ecofamilism: Women, Religion, and Environmental Protection in Taiwan (Three Pines Press, 2016).

rohrerJudith C. Rohrer was an associate professor of art history. She has been a member of the Emory University faculty in 1988. She is the co-author of Architecture Between the House and the City (1989). She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
