Michelle J. Anderson, dean of the City University of New York School of Law, announced that she will step down as dean at the end of the current academic year. She will have served as dean of the law school for 10 years. Dean Anderson is an expert on laws relating to rape.
Professor Anderson is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz and Yale Law School. She also holds a master’s degree in law from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Karen Abraham, associate vice president of alumni relations and the executive director of the Alumni Association at the University of New Mexico, has announced her retirement. She has spent over a half century at the university as a student and administrator and has held her current posts since 1987.
Dr. Abraham holds a bachelor’s degree, and master’s degree, and an educational doctorate, all from the University of New Mexico.
Pamela V. Hammond, interim president of Virginia State University, has announced that she will step down on December 31. Dr. Hammond has been serving as interim president since January 1, 2015. She is the first woman to serve as president of the university.
Dr. Hammond is a graduate of Tuskegee University in Alabama, where she majored in nursing. She holds a master’s degree in maternal-child nursing from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and a doctorate in urban services from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
