Doreen Larson Appointed President of Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio

The board of trustees of Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio, has named Doreen M. Larson as the institution’s next president. Edison Community College, located in the western part of the state, enrolls about 3,000 students. Women make up 64 percent of the student body.
Since 2010, Dr. Larson has been president of Pierpont Community and Technical College in Fairmont, West Virginia. A former faculty members at Kent State University in Ohio, Dr. Larson has held administrative posts at Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts and Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio.
Dr. Larson is a graduate of Cleveland State University, where she majored in education. She holds a master’s degree in education from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, and a doctorate in special education from Kent State University.
